TF: THE MOVIE

DECEPTICON GALLERY

Synopsis:

Let's face it, the Decepticons dominated the first half of the movie. Pretty much the only action happened because of the Decepticons.

Yet somehow all the Generic Decepticons came into in the second half of the movie, after Megatron and Optimus were dead. Funny that.

Decepticons:

These images are from a looped sequence of Decepticons running, near the end of the movie. Unicron is attacking the planet and Shockwave tells his Decepticons to 'Scramble'. We all know the sequence, here we can at last see what these runners look like.

Image one

Some nice designs in this picture. The foreground guy has an interesting head design, as do several of the others in the background. The detail and variety here is why I love the movie. Go movie.

Image two

A few new ones here. The guy in the foreground (big blue guy) is neat, the red blue and white one doesn't have his teeth in this shot. I'm also interested in the purple old-looking guy running there.

Image three

Another shot from the loop. The blue-red-and-white guy has his teeth back in this shot.

Image Four

In this shot you get to see one of the purple-and-grey guys who was hardly visible in previous images.

These shots are also from the 'Decepticons Scramble!' sequence. However they are from a different loop of images. Here we see one of the more common shots of Cybertron; from above with lots of Transformers running along various roads.

However, because of the quality of the screen-caps you can make out a lot more detail than normal; also the Movie is soooo much more colourful and filled with little bits and pieces than the TV show.

Image One

Check out the brown, blue and purple Decepticons seen on a lower level than the others. Look for the car Decepticons racing through the tube.

Image Two

Same as above, Decepticons running on platforms. There are no new Decepticons here, but there's a much clearer shot of the car in the transit pipe.

Image Three

Same as above, again.

Image Four

Same as above, once more, but one of the car Decepticons is more clearly visible. Also, from this picture we have C.O.A.R.D. Cute One-Appearance Running Decepticon. Check him out. (Just so you know, he's the purple and orange guy who's also on the previous page.) C.O.A.R.D. can be seen in some of the other shots above, but he's most prominent in this one.

Harold!

Here it is, Harold. Harold is the name we chose for the purple Skyraider (Decepticon Jet) from the More Than Meets The Eye episodes. This guy is incredibly famous, and even made a movie appearance it seems! Here he is, on Ironhide's monitor. Harold, we salute you.

Decepticon Statues:

Image 1  Image 2  Image 3  Image 4  Image 5  Image 6

Okay, here we are at the coronation of Starscream. What we're looking for here isn't Thundercracker, who's supposedly dead. But look at him anyway; clearly this isn't Thundercracker but one of the many generic Skyraiders out there. We're not here to look at the Constructicons either. Even if there are only five of them. Even if they ARE purple.

No, we're here to look at the big gold statues. These statues seem to be of ancient Decepticon leaders. The Transformers: The Movie script has this to say:

"THE DECEPTICON HALL OF HEROES - STARSCREAM
This is the closest thing the Decepticons have to a throne room. It is a massive, circular room with tombs of old leaders, and a raised area where Starscream stands.
"

That means the statues are standing on top of the old Decepticon leaders, and are probably representative of what these great leaders looked like. Cool.

Image One

All you can really see in this shot is a statue's foot. Yay, foot!

Image Two

A nice shot of some of these big gold statues. Take notes: these revered Decepticons were all fat buggers. Fat, fat, fat buggers.

Image Three

The important thing to take away from this picture is that the Red Skull was once a Decepticon leader. He's the one right in front, standing up straight, and without a pot belly. Ahh, that crazy Red Skull, he'd do anything for a laugh.

Image Four

The guy right in the foreground, next to the Red Skull, appears to be Scourge's granddad. Like scourge he likes bears, long walks on the beach, and the ole hunt-kill-destroy.

Image Five

The Decepticons were once led by a big fat, monkey-looking guy. That rocks.

Image Six

There's an overhead shot here, to give you an idea of just how many Decepticon Leaders there were all up, prior to Megatron. (At least in the cartoon. In the comics Megatron FOUNDED the Decepticons.)
